Liss and District Bid Farewell to their Padre.15.05.07

Hugette Jenkinson and S/m Mike BarrowIt is with much sadness that the Liss and District branch said farewell to their Padre at the May meeting. The branch have been extremely proud of their Padre as they could boast as being the only branch to have a French lady in this role. Huguette Jenkinson married an officer serving in the British Army and has been resident in the UK for many years. She has supported the branch not only at the monthly meetings but also attending as many social events as her busy schedule allowed. This included the Trafalgar Night Dinners where the speaches and conversation were obviously not overly pro French.

We wish her well in her new life living close to her daughter near Cambridge.

The photograph shows Huguette being presented with farewell gifts from her shipmates by Captain Mike Barrow branch president. Click for larger image (1500 x 997 - 167kB)
